ACHEMA Congress
Highlight Session
Wednesday, 24 August 2022
1.30 - 2.30 pm
Hall 4.0 Europa
As new analytical techniques, automation and analysis of big data are revolutionizing research, laboratories are changing at an unprecedented speed. The lab of the future is modular, highly automated and can handle minuscule sample volumes down to the single cell. Digital lab twins, machine learning, and artificial intelligence allow for the exploitation of enormous data volumes. Fields for application are for example modelling, simulation and new approaches for the design of experiments. The convergence of digitalization, miniaturization and automation fundamentally changes workflows and the way life scientists perform their research. What role will robots and artificial intelligence play in the future lab, and where will human creativity and expertise find its role? Discuss these and other questions with experts at the ACHEMA Highlight Session!
